Haiti Disaster Relief 

O God, give your strength and holy presence as we seek to reach out in your name for our brothers and sisters of Haiti

 The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and the Board of Global Ministries have partnered with churches and Annual Conferences in Haiti for several years.  As you read this, UMCOR is responding with resources on the ground—partnering in the international humanitarian effort to aid Haiti in disaster recovery. 

 Bishop Lyght encourages all churches to keep Haiti in prayer; and to respond with special offerings.  Please mark all remittances Haiti disaster 2010.   You can also give to Haiti relief directly through UMCOR at http://www.umcorhaiti.org/ 

One hundred percent of the money given through UMCOR is used for disaster relief

            Haiti Health Kits also needed

Northern District is asking all UM churches to assemble Health Kits and deliver those to the House of the Carpenter.  Mike Linger, pastor of Warwood UMC and Keith Forkey, pastor of New Life UMC will be collecting those at the House of the Carpenter.   They will be then transported to Mechanicsburg, Pa. for our UMCOR work in Haiti.

Please use Sundays, January 24^th and January 31^st as days of offering and preparations for the Health Kits.
